"Memories"
Starring: Reva Shayne
Reva knew she had seen Annie's younger brother before,
but where, was the big question. She ws going to find that out,
no matter how she got her information. Reva was bound and
determined. Reva knew there was something about Adam that she had
seen or sinced before about him. There was a strange connection,
she just couldn't put her finger on it. She knew there was
something missing from her life, and she knew Adam had the
missing link.
After a week of trying to remember where she had seen
Adam before. The only thime she could think of was those years
after she drove off the bridge in the Florida keys. She didn't
just remember his face, but she also felt she had a strange
connection with him that she couldn't pin point it. This boy, who
was only 8 or 9 years old was driving her insane. The logical
explaination she could figure out of this was "He's a Dutton
and it's his job to drive me insane!!!" She told Cassie, who
hadn't met Adam, and didn't want Tammy to meet him either, one
Dutton was one to many.
Cassie had been trying to figure out what was the
connection to Adam that Reva was feeling. Cassie was getting
shivers just htinking about the thought of another Dutton. Annie
was the only Dutton she wanted to have Tammy, R.J., and herself
to know, and if she could go back and change the way things
turned out, she would have it so she would never had met Annie,
but since that was impossible, she didn't want Adam Dutton to
come near her or her family.
Reva wanted to be alone and try to sort things out so
she went to walk in the park, thinking no one would go there on a
day that looked like it was about to rain. She arrived and was
right, no one was there. Reva sat on a swing and just looked up
to the heavens hoping for an answer. She was trying to figure
everything out, where it all fit into place. She still had no
idea where these missing links were placed. She had that ring
Cassie and her found, where did that come from? Now she has a
strange connection to Annie's younger brother, Adam. She couldn't
figure anything out. She sat on the swing hoping for an answer,
and sure enough, an answer comes. Reva had another flashback,
this time she saw a church. She also saw a name of a town, she
didn't know where it was, but she could make out the name
"Otter Creek." Reva ws so happy to know a name now, all
she needed to do was to find where Otter Creek was, and she could
find maybe some more answers.
Annie and her new brother, came walking into the park.
Reva got up and quickly apoligized for their behavior Josh and
her had expressed at the Diner the other day. Annie accetpted her
apology, but she didn't want Reva near Adam, she didn't want any
lies put into his head. Reva asked if she could speak with the
two of them. Annie was a little nervous about it, but Adam said
that he wouldn't mind, so Annie didn't.
They sat at on a park bench and Reva asked Adam if he
had ever heard of a place called Otter Creek. Annie, was a little
nervous that Reva knew that Adam wasn't her brother and stopped
her before Adam could answer anything. Reva looked at Adam's eyes
and she knew that he had heard of it before. Annie quickly got
Adam's hand and they walked out of the park. Reva now had a lead
on the whole situation. She still didn't know where Otter Creek
was, but she knew Adam had heard of it, and she was going to find
out everything about it from him.
Reva raced home and she was so excited that she had
forgotten about everything in life and just wanted to focus on
this news. When she got home she couldn't wait to tell Joshua
about Otter Creek. Josh was downstairs trying to work on papers
for Lewis Oil and still thinking about how he could get his
company back from Phillip. When Reva told Josh about the
connection with Adam and the ring and now the memory of a Church
and Otter Creek, she couldn't wait to finally have some more
answers to her mystery.
Josh called up Harley who was still pregnant, and
explained the whole situation about Reva's ring, her connection
with Adam Dutton and now Otter Creek. Josh was so happy that Reva
was now finding information about those years she was away. Reva
was happy as well, and couldn't wait until she actually arrived
in Otter Creek, maybe then she would see something or quite
possibly someone who could help her remember her time there.
Whatever Reva was going to find out about Otter Creek, she was
happy about because know she could finally have some closure
about those lost years of her life.
Well, Harley found out that there were two Otter
Creek's in America. One was in California and the other was in
South Carolina. Reva and Josh came to the conclusion that she
couldn't have made it all the way to Califorina from Florida, so
they tried the one in South Carolina. Josh and Reva took the
Lewis jet and went on an adventure to figure out the missing
pieces of her life. Reva fell asleep in Josh's arms and imagined
what she would find when they reached their destination. The
phone rang and the pilate told them they were about ready to land
that they should be prepared to exit soon. Reva and Josh were so
excited that they were finally going to be getting some answers.
They got out of the plane and just walked for the time
being. Reva really didn't know what she was looking for. Nothing
she had seen had sparked a memory and no one walking along the
roads had recognized her either. Then Reva saw the church she had
seen in a dream. She was haivng another flashback. This time she
saw a man. He was tall and was clean shaven. Brown eyes, and
brown hair. Reva almost remember a name but she could think of
it. That was all she remembered at the moment. The two of them
walked around some more looking for a place to sleep for the
night. Josh spotted a small motel, about a mile from where they
were.
Otter Creek was a small little village. Just about
everything was in walking distance. There was a church, a general
store, a field where children must have played during the summer
days when there was no school. There was a library and a school.
There was even a small swimming hole. However, no matter where
Reva went there wasn't anything, but the church that had
triggered her to remember anything.
After a night in the motel, Josh and Reva went again
for another walk. This time they actually went into buildings.
Inside the General Store, Reva remembered the woman standing
behind the counter. Reva remembered the atmostphere so vividly.
The woman standing behind the register had thrown her hands in
the air and was screaming to the top of her lungs. "Oh my
God, I can't believe you came home Sherri. It has been a long
time since I have seen you last. I woke up one morning and came
into the shop, and no one was here working. You know you can have
your old job back if you really want it. For those two years you
were here, you were a huge help." The woman gave Reva a hug,
and was just thrilled to see her.
Reva didn't remember who she was, or even remember
seeing her before, but this woman sure remembered her, but she
called her Sherri. The woman turned around and looked at Josh.
She had seen him before, but she didn't know where. She
introduced herself as Iris Minton, she owned the general store.
Josh then introduced himself as Josh Lewis and then motioned to
his wife Reva and said that this was his wife, Reva. Iris then
remembered she had seen Josh on the news when they were talking
about the Spaulding take over of Lewis Oil. She didn't understand
though, why he called Sherri, Reva.
Reva explained to Iris the whole story about how she
drove off the bridge and now how she was trying to figure out was
what happened during those years she was a way from Springfield.
Iris looked worried. She ask Reva, "Have you seen Sam then?
He was crushed when you left, and so he turned to the bottle.
That was when they took Steven away. He tried to commit suicide
twice since then. I don't know if it would be a good idea if you
went and saw him." Iris was worried about Sam, him and Reva
had gotten pretty close. Then one stormy night Sam woke up and
found Reva climbing out the window. She was running away.
"You left a note. Sam brought it to me as soon as he found
it...
"Dear Sam, I love you so much and I love Steven
too, but I have a feeling I have another life somewhere else.
Another love somewhere, I hate to do this, but I feel it is best.
I don't know where I'll go, or even who I'll meet. I can't live
this lie I feel I am living. Tell Steven every day that I love
him and that I miss him. Take care now, Love Sherri." Reva
remembered now, she was in love with the man who she saw in her
dreams, and they met at the Church. He was doing community
service and helping to make Otter Creek a little nicer for the
next generation. Reva then remembered something else.
"Iris, who took Steven?" Reva asked,
concerned with that little boy's well being. Iris told her that
after she left a year went by and the sheriff came and called
SRS. They came and took Steven to a foster home. He was two years
old at the time. Reva asked if she had a picture of him. All
these memories where coming into focus in Reva's mind. Iris went
into the back and gave her a picture she took of Reva and Steven
in the meadow. Reva studied Steven real close and shocked when
she noticed that he had a scar on the side of his neck.
"Annie's a liar," Reva screamed. Just then A tall man
came walking into the general store. It was Sam.
