With two months to go before the Royal Wedding of San Cristobel, Cassie's secretary Robin had to leave her job due to family emergencies. She was upset to not be able to be around for the wedding. Cassie understood that robin had to leave and said it would not be a problem.

The next day, after leaving with Robin, Cassie was walking up the front steps where she found a man sitting looking out to the ocean. She asked him if she could help him. He said that he was there to be the new assistant to the monarchy. Cassie looked at him with disbelief, but he had a letter from an agency that sent him. She showed him the way up to the palace doors and into the main courtyard. He was in awe and asked where the Prince that he would be assisting was. Cassie laughed and said that Prince Richard already had an assistant, Dax. Now the man was confused.

"Follow me." Cassie told him. She walked into the Study where she and Richard performed business affairs. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Cassie Layne. I'm the one that needs the assistant. And let me just get you a form here for you to fill out your information."

"Hi Miss Layne, My name is Jack Seyme." Jack filled out the form and returned it to her. That evening, Cassie had shown Jack his room and he was all packed and moved in. Cassie had brought Richard into meet him and the two shook hands. Richard apologized but he needed to step out for a minute him and Dax needed to go over a new trade agreement. Jack had told her that he was all un packed and he was ready to start working. Cassie laughed and told him that he didn't have to rush. She said that tomorrow, her friend Harley was flying down to visit. He said that he could join them because they were going to be discussing the Children's Museum.

Richard and Cassie invited Jack to eat with them. The chef was cooking his famous, fetachini alfrado. Jack loved Italien food and couldn't resist joining them. Richard and Cassie seemed to be truly happy. Jack told them about himself and Cassie talked about her past, leaving out parts she didn't seem relevant, such as her days at Teasers.

After Diner Jack said goodnight and sat on his bed. He pulled out his journal and began to write.

Dear Journal,
I met my Prince and Princess! They are truly a happy couple. Their love is so strong and I wish I had love like that. There was Ivy, but she wasn't right for my. She was too demanding and I need to be my own person in the relationship. It isn't right, why do some people have happiness like Richard and Cassie when all I have is nothing. I've always been told to wait for love, let love find me. Well, I am sick of waiting. Oh well, until another time...

The next morning Harley walked in with two bags, one in each had. Jack saw that she needed help and assisted her. "How do you do Ma'am? I'm Jack. Let me assist you." Jack took the bags and brought the to the guest room where she would be staying. Cassie peered around the corner and noticed this. The two of them sat outside in the garden. It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining bright and all the lillies were full bloom. Jack brought them each a cup of coffee. While handing Harley hers he got a twitch in his eye and it looked like he was winking at her. Cassie noticed this as well and began to put two and two together. When Jack sat down he took a sip of his coffee and it dripped onto his lap. Jack, embarassed, got up and left quickly too his room.

While he was gone, Cassie moved over and sat next to Harley. Cassie looked at her and laughed. "Harley, I think someone has a crush on you." Harley was surprised. She didn't understand where Cassie's accusation was coming from. "Why, don't you see it. He was winking at you and acted like a teen aged boy when he was helping you with your bags." Harley laughed and remembered him looking a little eager to help out with her bags. Harley thought it was cute. Cassie did too.

That evening after diner, Cassie went out into the garder where she had forgotten her watch. She looked out into the stars and sighed. She wondered where Reva was and what she was doing. She missed her visits with her sister, but she couldn't deal with Reva constantly getting in the way. She didn't understand. "AGH, why can't things be normal in my life." Cassie yelled up the moon.

"I often say that too." Cassie jumped back. She didn't know who said it, and then from behind a bush, Jack appeared. He was sitting on a large rock. "I ask myself the same questions Princess. Why can't things be normal? I have never received an answer though." Jack laughed and pointed up. "Look a shooting star." Cassie looked up just in time to see a white flash run across the sky. "Did you make a wish?" Jack smiled. Cassie smiled back. "Mind if I ask you a question Princess." Cassie said yes and reminded him that he didn't have to call her princess. Cassie was just fine. "I was wondering Princ... I mean Cassie, why aren't things in your life normal? I would think you were the last person to ever have problems. Your life with Richard seems perfect and you have two beautiful children, friends who stick by you and I'm sure you have a family who treasures you. Why are you out here talking to yourself then?"

Cassie sat down next to Jack on the rock and told him about Reva and the whole struggle between her and her sister. She told him who Reva didn't approve of the marriage until Richard confessed he loved me, and she did the same. "After we held a gathering for my family in Springfield and showed them how much we loved each other. Reva accepted us. However, she is still alone. She's going through so much. Josh left her and now I'm living in a whole 'nother country." Jack listened to every word that Cassie said.

The two of them spent the whole night outside together talking. Jack had never done that before, he was so happy to be where he was in his life. Cassie seemed pleased to have someone to talk to as well. It was a nice. Harley had brought Zach outside in the stroller, and heard Cassie and Jack laughing in the garden. She went over there and found the two of them sitting on a rock talking. Cassie looked and saw Harley standing there. She looked at her watch, "Jack, we spent the whole night out here. This was so much fun. Thank you for listening." Cassie walked back up the the castle doors with Harley and Zach. Meanwhile, Jack took out his journal and began to write.

Dear Journal,
Ivy told me I'd never be happy without her. Boy was she wrong. I just spent the whole evening talking with a Princess. Princ.. I mean Cassie is so wonderful to talk to. She is so down to earth and I she listens to me. It was such a wonderful time last night. You know the last time I wrote I said, I didn't think I'd ever find true love again... Well, I think I was wrong. The only problem is, she's going to marry the Prince of San Cristobel. What am I going to do? I guess I have to shut my feelings down. I can't let it show that I have feelings for her. This isn't going to be easy, but what is my alternative? Leave my job? I can't do that, I finally have a stable income, a nice place to live, and a woman that I have fallen in love with, the only problem is, she's taken...

Jack closed his book and followed them up to the castle. Harley told Cassie that she had to leave, but would be back in time for the wedding. Cassie asked if she would be her maid of honor. Harley agreed and went to get her bags. Jack rushed up ahead and said that he would help out. Harley looked back at Cassie and both giggled. While Jack drove Harley to the airport, Cassie received a phone call.

Who was on the phone?
1.
Blake
